Course Info

The Australian Qualifications Framework ​is a quality assured national framework of qualifications in the school, Vocational Education and Training (VET) and higher education sectors in Australia.

Nationally Recognised Training. This means that qualifications or units that you complete​ are recognised in other states and territories within Australia.

You will be provided with this information upon enrolment or following your initial enquiry for your chosen course. You may also find a list of books and resources on your course information page.

Due to our courses being taught online, you will need regular access to a computer and the internet. You may also need access to a printer, a scanner, and a device for backing up your work. You can access Learning Management System (Moodle) from any web enabled device. You may be able to access Moodle on a mobile device using the Moodle App.

Some units of study will require browser plug-ins to view audio or media files and you may need to download any of the following, click the links below to download:

Payments & Refunds

In certain circumstances, you may be eligible for a refund of part or all of your course fees. Please visit our Fees and Refunds Policy for more information.

​Most courses can be paid for per unit, however some courses require full payment at the time of enrolment. Many of our courses offer the option of applying for interest free credit through Ezy-way. For more information please phone (02)9362 3139 or email enquiries@penncollege.edu.au

In most cases you will not need to pay upon enrolment but we do have a facility for online payment at the time of enrolment. If you paid your course fees online at the time of enrolment you will receive a receipt by email immediately. If you made payment by bank transfer or cheque, we will email you a receipt shortly after we record the receipt of funds once received in our bank account.

Student Records

Following completion of an accredited course you will receive a Testamur, however an additional/replacement copy is available for a small fee.

Results

At The Penn College, you are assessed on your competency in Units of Competency or Modules. Your competency is based on whether or not you can perform specific tasks and duties to the standard expected in employment.

If you receive a J on your results of assessment, you have achieved competency for that unit.

If you receive an M on your results of assessment, you have not achieved competency for that unit.

You may be awarded other grades, which are listed below.

J: Competency Achieved
Student has been assessed and has satisfied all the requirements for the Unit of Competency or Module.

M: Competency Not Achieved
Student has attempted all assessment requirements for the Unit of Competency or Module and has been assessed as not competent.

AW: Withdrawn With Participation
Student has engaged in learning activity for the Unit of Competency or Module but has not attempted all assessment to justify an M or J grade.
Student is withdrawn with participation from the Unit of Competency or Module.

NATT: Withdrawn Without Participation
Student enrolled but did not engage in learning activity for the Unit of Competency or Module.
Student is withdrawn without participation from the Unit of Competency or Module.
